Just got back from an hour and a half walk with the dog and got suitably drenched. Still maintain that walking is a fantastic form of exercise! Whose with me?

I don’t think you can really tell but the rain was CHUCKING it down right here. Ended up having fun even though we were drenched through, laughing at how pointless it had been spending 10 minutes applying make-up before we left!

I LOVE walking and think it is a brilliant from of exercise. My walking boots, marino wool hiking socks and my day sack are my best friends. Wether I’m going for a 30 minute blitz with the dog or a 12 mile hike in the hills I am happy.
If I am on my own I plug in my headphones and just GO.
I love walking so fast your almost running and feeling my heart rate pound.
Hiking in the hills is so good as it is a kind of natural interval training which is SO good for you when you are trying to get fit, healthy and lose weight.

In this picture I am obviously not dressed up and tied my hair up when it started raining but I feel good looking at this picture. The trousers I am wearing I used to wear without a belt, a UK size 10. Now I HAVE to wear them with a belt or they fall down.
The belt is a S/M, which was the smallest I could get and I had to add an extra hole two weeks ago! This means it sticks out in an annoying way now but hey! I’m getting thinner which is so much better than a belt.

Moral of the story? Weather is no excuse not to exercise! However, I would recommend packing an emergency umbrella if you live in England.
